Hey All
Well, it’s been a tough but decent run of results over the last few weeks. The Grand
Prix in Cardiff did not pan out to what I had planned but you can’t count on mechanical
failures so easily either. That is all part of the game. I had scored 7 points going into my
final qualifying heat where I was sitting in second place and the engine stopped on the
3rd lap. The end result was a broken cam chain that cost me a semi final position and
my night was over. I held 1 point lead in the overall series at the end of the night.
Two weeks went by and we rode the Scandinavian GP in Målilla, Sweden. Great
weather for what seemed to be the first time in Målilla but some cool and chilly
evenings. I had a great start to the evening with 5 points after 2 heats and then ran a
hard 3rd place in my 3rd heat. That followed with a last place in my 4th heat but we then
made a good change to the bike before blitzing the final qualifying heat. This left me
with last choice of gates in the semi and as expected I ended up with the unfavorable
yellow gate #4. I made the best start possible and tried to make a big cut back in the
first corner however the door that need to open and allow me through just did not open
and my night was over. It was an action packed and eventful night of racing which
did not go my way. I now sit in 2nd place in the series and only 8 points behind the
leader Chris Holder. No excuses necessary from me. Its a tough field and no room for
mistakes. Better results are to come in the next two rounds!!
Not much to report on the league racing over the last few weeks. For Piraterna in
Sweden, we finished the official league season in 2nd place and are seeded into the
semi finals starting Tuesday September 11 in Målilla against Dackarna. This will be an
extremely hard match for the Pirates as they stuffed us in the league but we won’t let
that happen again.
In Poland, my team Azoty Tauron Tarnow finished top of the league table and started
the play off finals yesterday in Tarnow against Unibax Torun. We had a tough fight but
finished with a good win and a lead of 6 points going into the return match this Sunday
away in Torun. Good races lie ahead!! :))
Thank you again for all your continued support and see ya on top! :() Lets Go Racing!
